The vegetation shown here is common in littoral rainforests. Small remnants can be seen on south facing slopes in Spring Gully, between the wharf and the R.S.L. Club, along the entrance of the Bonnie Vale picnic area sloping down from Simpson Road and near the entrance to Jibbon beach. An excellent example of a strangler fig can be seen at the entrance to the Bonnie Vale Camping Ground.
